Mental Health Experience

She specializes in working with folks who are experiencing anxiety, relationship issues, disordered eating, disordered exercise, and trauma. She uses a Health at Every SizeĀ® approach, a somatic lens, and the principles of intuitive eating to help clients create a healthy relationship with their body, food, and exercise. She is trained in Embodied Recovery for eating disorders, as well as EMDR for trauma-focused therapy.

She strives to offer a nonjudgemental, compassionate, and collaborative connection for you to explore your life and move towards what matters most to you. She believes that unconditional acceptance and love is critical to wellness, and advocates for social justice for marginalized identities. Your whole identity is not only welcome in her office, but also embraced and celebrated.

Fitness Experience

She also has an extensive background in fitness, fitness education, leadership and mentoring. She has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Kinesiology from Pennsylvania State University, and is a certified ACE Health Coach and ACSM Exercise Physiologist.

Along her career, she has taught a wide variety of group fitness classes including yoga, pilates, strength training, kickboxing, and indoor cycling. Working as a Fitness Coordinator for NC State University and National Presenter for NETA, she travelled and trained fitness professionals for six years. From 2013-2019, she was a Master Instructor at Flywheel Sports in Raleigh, NC.

Her main mission is to encourage movement for wellness and not for weight loss. She is a Health at Every Size (HAES) advocate and works to educate the community on the benefits behind HAES principles and the detrimental effects from diet culture.
